Antique Chinese 18th Century Qing Export Polychrome People & Landscape Spoon Tray
Description
An antique Chinese polychrome spoon tray.
The spoon tray is decorated with a detailed and fascinating interior scene with seated scholars, attended by their wives or servants, whilst a child can be seen trying to take a pen off the hand of the man nearest to the front. The scene opens out to a river and landscape on the rear, possibly the river Yangtze.
On the rim there is a pattern decoration and four-minute landscape scenes.
Dates from the 18th century, that is the Qianlong dynasty (1736–1795)

In good condition considering its age. As far as I can see, there are no chips and cracks. There is some wear to two of figures, and other age-related wear to the paintwork.
